Onboarding and Recruitment Manager

About the role

We recruit over 500 passionate individuals each year for seasonal roles working with children on our internal programmes (Kings
Camps) and for external partners (UK and worldwide).

We’re looking for a forward-thinking individual to join our Managerial tier, line Managing our end-to-end Recruitment and Onboarding process, and the people involved in its delivery. This means communicating regularly with candidates and the wider team to gather information, being comfortable making choices as a decision maker and people person, as well as following up on any staffing or safer recruitment concerns.

This role will ensure we meet annual targets for seasonal recruitment and that every individual we hire is qualified, suitable and equipped to work safely with children.

At Kings, our Recruitment Team is a little different… fun chants and singing during video interview’s are not unheard of!

We recruit over 500 passionate individuals each year for seasonal roles on our own activity programmes (Kings Camps). With all candidates, our Recruitment Team showcase The Kings Factor. They do this through each & every interaction; whether meeting via University events, email enquiries or initial interview.

About You

We’d like you to have 2 years of experience in team management or leadership, as well as safer recruitment or safeguarding experience – ideally with first-hand experience in relationship building or communication. You’ll have the ability to multi-task and be driven to work towards targets, self-motivated with the ability to problem solve and take decisions as well as excellent communication and IT skills.

For someone to be successful with us, they need the ‘Kings Factor’ – an energy and passion for child development as well as inspiration and fun, being motivated by and supportive of the mission and values of Kings Active Foundation. You must have eligibility to work in the UK.

The important part

  • Where: Kings Active Foundation HQ, Sheffield (hybrid working with a mixture of office and home)
  • Salary: £32,000 p/a
  • Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Our normal office hours are within 8am-6pm. Flexibility is required to optimise maximum engagement (our work involves extended hours and weekend work at peak times of the year)
  • Pension: Enhanced pension and employer contributions (5%) and Group Life Assurance Scheme
  • Holiday: 28 days which includes statutory holidays (plus additional holiday days given after 2 years of service) and a generous Christmas break
